After reading several reviews and several comparisons of t.v.'s, I decided to get the Vizio M series 42" and I had only one problem - there is no HDMI cable included to connect the t.v., only RCA cables. After I purchased that one cable, I was good to go. Everything was easy to set up, easy to program, and the picture is very good. No complaints at all. If something happened to this set, I would most likely purchase it again.
I would recommend this to a friend!

how is the sound on this tv?

Do you need a sound bar ? our couch is only about 10 feet from the tv, a fairly average sized room.
I already have a Bose unit, but I use it only for movies or for music performances. The built in speakers are pretty good as is.

connecting to wifi

how close does the router need to be to the tv?
My router is in my bedroom, the t.v. is in the living room with a central a/c and two closets in between... about 35 ft altogether through a couple of walls, and I have had no problems at all. I have a cheap router - under $75 retail.
