No, the retail box from BestBuy did not include a Coax cable, but Comcast here provided one in their "Self-Install Kit" and I also picked one up at Wal-Mart for a few dollars just in case the self-install kit wasn't long enough. Your best bet is to figure out first where this modem is going to be installed, where your nearest cable jack is, and how long of a run you'll need to make the connection. I'd recommend putting the modem somewhere you can see it and check the lights if you have a problem and need to reset it - having to find the thing in the basement is no fun :-)
