I bought this television to help improve my quality of life; I had an older model television and it still worked but was very limited in the amount of channels and the quality of the shows I wanted to see were was erratic at best. The amount I paid for the Insignia 50" was the most that I had to spend; I am very glad that I purchased this television, I am actually starting to move into the 21st century. I use an antenna so I am limited in what I can watch; but with my new television, I watch more digital shows and the quality of the picture is outstanding for my old eyes. I am very glad I was able to purchase this television. Best Buy brand items have proven to be some of the best items one can purchase.

When I bought this item, I intended to use it without any other attachments (external keyboard) because when I read the information concerning this item, it indicated that it had it's own built-in keyboard that could be easily accessed with a swipe of a finger. I swiped, and I swiped and I swiped, but the internal keyboard eluded me. When I finally got the hang of it, and could get it to come up, I set up my user id and password put it up for awhile to run an errand then attempted to use the computer later only to find out that I could not get back to the internal keyboard to enter the password. The Windows 8 10.1 Tablet was locked. Upon researching (using a desktop computer) how to locate the internal keyboard again so that it could be used to unlock the computer, I found that I had to unlock it with an external keyboard. With all of that being said, I recognize it is too complicated for me, maybe others will have better luck with it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
