I bought this as a gift for my mom who wanted a good camera for every day use. She has MS so her grip is sometimes a problem, so the relative light weight and great grip on the camera works great for her. She's also picked up on how to operate the camera quickly which was a concern when picking a camera out. It's got a good range of features and definitely takes great pictures. This was the best value for sure and I spent a lot of time researching other cameras in the price range.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Do you charge it or is it battery operated

I only want it if it does not take batteries and I can just charge it.
It is battery operated with 4 AA batteries. The only option would be to get rechargeable batteries, but you'd still have to take them out to charge them.
