Replaced another Bosch, and I must say, a great dishwasher got even better. Top tray for odd and extra flatware and utensils, better integration of pod-style cleaners, and even better super-quiet cleaning; all are improvements.

Not quite the perfect PC replacement, but getting closer, the screen size with great resolution lends it best for graphics-weighted work, while it does interface easily with several keyboard options while retaining iPad/IPhone predictive text. I’ve used both MS and Apple wireless keyboards- you don’t have to use the iPad keyboard w/cover to have a happy result. If Apple ups their game with Pages (esp. templates) you can avoid MS Office, which can be clumsy and over fussy to work with. Only complaint it lack of ANY jack to move data. Cloud connection only :(.

Mid-small size microwave that answers the bell. Size is quite compact while large enough for big bowls and large plates of food. Controls are simple enough and has easy to use child lock for controls.
Powerful enough to reduce times from auto-programmed ones for some foods. Only annoyance is "completed" beep really loud, and no stop or sound to adjust food arrangement during defrost for more even thawing.

why doesnt the zero button work??
BOUGHT THIS FOR MY 87 YEAR OLD MOTHER WHO LIVES 300 MILES AWAY ..SHE CANT PUT IN 10 MINUTES BECAUSE THE ZERO BUTTON SAY KITCHEN TIMER ON TOP OF BUTTON AND WHEN SHE PRESSES IT TIMER COMES ONNOT THE ZERO SHE NEEDS..CALLED SERVICE DEPT AND THEY SAID THE R-309YK SERIES DOESNT HAVE A BUTTON THAT SAYS KITCHEN TIMER..I BOUGHT THIS BECAUSE IT WAS SIMPLE THE PICTURE OF THE CONTROLS DOESNT SHOW KITCHEN TIMER WORDING ABOVE THE ZERO BUTTON..NOT SURE WHATS GOING ON BUT THIS IS NOT THE MICROWAVE PICTURED..WOULD LIKE THE ZERO BUTTON WITHOUT THE KITCHEN TIMER ON IT..

Door opens by pressing round button on lower part of control panel. No handle.

Can the audible signal be turned off? If so, how?
I always need to turn off the signal beep and want to know if that can be done on this model (R-309YW). Thanks.
Not aware of any way to turn off sound, or adjust volume.

I bought this microwave just couple of days ago. The light inside the microwave is not working from day 1. I was wondering if there is a way to activate the light? In case I need to change the bulb, how can I do that?

Where is this product designed? manufactured? assembled?
Design is Japan I believe (Sharp is a Japanese company), made and assembled in China.

China. I don't believe microwaves have been made in USA for over 25 yrs.
