I am a big Star Trek fan and liked this reboot series but the movie wasn't as good as the last one. It had it's moments and was well done for the series but it could have been better. Overall it was a fairly good movie and adds to the trilogy.

My wife researched washers after our 12 yr old Kenmore had it's final spin. She chose this one as it was 4.8 cu ft and we are a family of 5. We love the capacity and multifunctions of this model and no agitator to ruin clothes. It cleans well and is fairly quiet in our first floor laundry room. She even cleaned a formal evening dress in the handwash cycle and was pleasantly surprised as it was a delicate fabric that was beaded. All was well with the dress coming out of the machine. We have had it for over a month, do approx. 8 loads a week and so far, it has held up to the Samsung reputation. We are so pleased with returning to a top loader as we were very weary. No regrets here!

Options for adding powder detergent and oxyclean powder

Do I have to use the dispenser or can I add them to the drum either before or after adding clothes
I have done both. I put the oxyclean in the drum, add the clothes and put the detergent in the detergent compartment after pulling the liq cup holder out.

How does the hand-wash cycle work? It is listed as a wash cycle, but I don't see that feature on the panel.
Turn the knob to delicates and the handwash cycle appears and you set the temp, spin and time.

I am having a problem with my washer not getting my white clothes white, they go into the washer white and comes out a dengy white, what can I do?

clothes are not getting white white, what can I do to get t hem white. I use tide with bleach in my wash and sometimes even a liquid bleach. Please help...
I get great results by using powdered Oxyclean and soaking the whites overnight (6-8 hr) and then running a full wash cycle.

Should I be using HE detergent or is the regular stuff okay?

If it says HE use HE detergent to prevent over sudsing and prolong the life of the machine. I made the mistake in using plain detergent and the clothes were soapy and took several rinses to get it out.
