Tablet wont turn on

My daughter has had this tablet for 2 years. It was working just fine, we turned it off and put it on the charger for the night. Now I cannot get it to turn back on. I have googled "quick fix" which was "hold down the power button for 30secs" didnt work....."hold down power, volume up and down all at the same time for 30seconds"....still nothing. Advice?!
same thing happen to our tablet, took it in to best buy. they send it out to repair. they said it would cost more to repair so they just gave us a new one. they never told us what was wrong with the tablet. it was covered under warranty
