I am enjoying the use of these Insignia tvs. I was able to connect directly to our cable cords from the wall and program our channels to receive all the channels we get from our main tv in our family room. Great buy for the size and money. You have to play with the settings to get the picture size , sound, and color to your liking but once you get it set your good to go. My kids enjoy it in their bedrooms.
I have set up channels to be remove that I don't want them watching due to the content and have also been able to setup their 'favorite channel lineup' thus making it even easier for them to get to their shows without flipping through every single channel.
I have also been able to, with the hdmi cable (sold separately), connect my galaxy note 4 to the cable which is connected to the Insignia tv which then mirrors my smartphone screen. I can access all apps, games, SD card content from pictures, music, movies, even hulu works without error. Just remember to fix the screen resolution on the TV so it works flawless with the smartphone.

This tablet is an early shopping christmas gift, and I plan to buy 1 more. I did take the time to fully set it up and had no problems connecting to wifi or google app store to download games and google books.
Pros: great buy (added bonus: insuance coverage added within 15days covering the tablet)
Cons: none

Are there replacement batteries for samsung tablets?
we have Samsung tablet we bought 2012 the battery won't stay charged for very long anymore can we replace the battery?
Not unless you send it in for repair to samsung which then charge you a fee (they were trying to charge me $199) to fix whatever they found to be the issue (s) a 7-10 business day wait. I have waited as long as 8 weeks which resulted in an escalation to the lead management department which ended in a brand new tab after receiving mine back twice unrepaired, because the same issue of it not charging was still happening. So from that experience my opinion is just buy a newer tab on sale (or not) get the best buy geek squad insurance and go from there. I've learned the hard way.
So going forward I buy directly from my local best buy stores not online and purchase the insurance and it's renewable as long as it's paid before the expiration date of the current policy. I currently have a 2 year plan on both my childrens tablets.

Can I access the kindle content from my kindle that died on this Samsung tablet?
Your content should be based on your USER ACCOUNT not the tablet itself. So say I want to read a book from my galaxy note 4, I have on one of my kids tab 4. I just have to sign into my user ID & password, sync the material, and it's there.

How do i put pictures from my gallery on background?
Just go into gallery select the picture you want and tab the top to *set as* then crop and save.

Can i connect usb flash drive to watch digital movies and if so how?
I have digital copies of all my dvds and i want to be able to load a few onto a usb thumb drive and want to be able to plug this into it specially in places with no wifi access to watch movies. How do i do it?
I know you can watch downloaded content from a micro SD card up to 64gb. Just insert the micro SD card into the slot allow it time to process your card then go to folder or the video app icon and view whatever is on the SD card. You can also load directly to the memory of the tablet though I don't recommend that depending of the internal size of you drive such as 8gb, 16gb, 32gb...
As for an actually FLASH DRIVE there's no plug-in directly into the tab for that to work.

How do i get pictures from my computer to my tablet?
You just need to plug the usb charger cable that came with it into you laptop/computer, then into your tablet. Allow it time to sync then transfer what you want. Depending on the size of your table 8gb, 16gb, or 32 your limited to the amount that's transferable.

Can this be used to listen to audio books from the library
I have 2 tab 4 - 7" tablets and both are used to listen to GOOGLE PLAY BOOKS. I have children, bible, as well as study guides on the tablets some books read aloud some don't. I'm guessing it's based on the content of the individual book. Hope this helps.
p.s. I have kindle app pre-installed too, however don't use it, all my books are on the google play store.
