what does "marked polarity" mean
what does "marked polarity" mean 50ft. 18 gauge
Marked Polarity means the wire has two sides one marked with a line on the insulation of the wire. The other side does not have any marking on it. Or the two sides of the wire are different types of metal like copper and steel. Since they are different you can connect the positive terminal to the positive terminal, and the negative terminal to the negative terminal without having to follow the entire length of the wire to figure out which side of the wire goes to the positive terminal and which side goes to the negative terminal. You use the wires marking to see which side goes to which, but make sure you hook the same side of wire to the same sides of the terminals (positive to positive, negative to negative).
