What's great about it: Plug-n-play compatible
What's not so great: Nothing to dissapoint
I'm very satisfied with this purchase!
Due to receiving a new laptop for work which has a small screen, I needed a larger monitor for home use. I wanted something that would work both with my older personal laptop as well as my work laptop. The Dell S2440L is the perfect choice. It has both VGA (old laptop) and HDMI (new laptop) inputs and auto selects between them - so I can switch back and forth very easily.
The resolution, vivid colors, brightness and larger screen images are also highly desirable. When in the store, I could easily see the higher image quality on the Dell S2440L. In my opinion, it's a 10 out of 10 on all fronts.
This product has... Attractive design, Easy to setup, No speakers, HDMI connection

font problem

I purchased this as a secondary monitor for my iMac 27. Beautiful picture, but the font on everything is fuzzy. Any suggestions?
There is a Preset mode on the settings menu (button right above the power button in the lower right) that you can select for "Text" - perhaps this will help?

Why is it on power safe?

Everytime I turn it on it says it's going into power safe mode and that it has no signal to my PC. My other monitor works but why won't this one?
Make sure the settings for video input are set for "auto detect."
