My mom has a few favorite tv shows she likes to watch on netflix and has wanted to be able to share them with my dad but they only have one small laptop and no smart TV. This was an easy to set up solution that brought not only Netflix, but anything my mom would find on the web from a single user experience to something she could share with my dad on the bigger screen. Fantastic product, easy to use.

What's great about it: It's fast.
What's not so great: It's range is not what I hoped for or expected.
I struggled with my N600 router to get signal in the back bedroom which is about 35 feet from the router. Granted there are several walls to go through, but there is also a straight shot hallway without any obstacles. Even with the antennas positioned optimally, we are unable to get signal in the bedroom. I may keep the router anyway, because in the room it is in the speed is fantastic, but the range leaves much to be desired.
This product has... Fast connection, Dual band, Short range, Reliable connection

Sound with chrome cast

set up chrome cast Getting movies but sound is not coming through I have a surround sound
system what do i need to do
The television will be the source of your sound with Chromecast. Make sure your receiver is set to receive the TV as source and not another device. If you still have no sound, try disconnecting your surround system to see if you get direct sound from the TV. If not your Chromecast is likely bad and needs to be replaced.

Does Chromecast stream Amazon Prime?

If you can watch it in a chrome browser or on an android device, you can stream it to chromecast.

Can you get 2 or 3 or more of these for playing same thing on 3 or more monitors a the same time?

No, you cannot stream one device to multiple chromecasts simultaneously.

Can Chromecast project Google Hangouts

We want to do video and web conferencing in our Office. Are we able to do that with Chromecast?
You are able to cast your entire screen with the chromecast App from a mobile device, or any single tab from the chrome browser on a laptop. So yes, with Google Hangouts on a phone or on a laptop you would be able to put the hangout on a larger screen through Chromecast.
