This is a great remote. We were able to clear off the coffee table with just one remote left out now. Set up through the pc!

What's great about it: Comfortable - can wear them for long periods
What's not so great: Don't have anything
I travel for work. Often I have to sleep on the plane. I couldn't do this with multiple previous brands of headphones, which either hurt my ear, made it too uncomfortable to sleep and keep the headphones on my head, or the plane was so loud that I had to turn the volume up so high to drown out the noise. These headphones are fabulous. Comfortable, stay in my ear and the noise canceling is unbelievable. They are expensive but I would highly recommend them.
This product has... fit well stay in noise canceling.

RE: noise cancellation quality when not listening to music

My main purpose for buying noise canceling headphones is not to listen to music without distractions, but to have peace and quiet while not listening to music. Peace. Quiet. No music, either. So, how well does the noise cancellation perform when not listening to any music? When not listening to music, will conversations be blocked out? Or, do they perform better with reducing noises like air conditioner units, subway sounds, but do not do well with blocking out human speech?
They are fabulous even if you just want peace and quiet. Conversations either disappear or sound like they are far far away. Once in a while, when I have them on in a plane and the captain talks through pa system, I can hear him - but still quite muffled.

Do these headphones come with an airline adapter?

Most Bose headphones come with an accompanying airline adapter, do these headphones come with those as well? If not are they available separately for purchase?
No, they don't have an adapter. If you don't turn on the noise canceling switch, you can simply listen to music or whatever you prefer to listen to through the headphones. However, when you want the noise canceling, you simply turn on the switch and you get the noise canceling benefit.

Plugging jack into devices -- or not -- for just using noise cancellation

If I just want to tune out my obnoxious upstairs neighbors and not listen to any music, can I simply turn on the noise canceling earbuds without plugging them into my iPhone (or any other device)? Will the active noise cancellation still work if not plugged into a music player or other device? My primary purpose will be noise cancellation (not music listening) and I want something I can comfortably wear around the house -- without always needing to be tethered to my iPhone -- while I count the months until my lease expires. Thanks. ... and never rent a downstairs apartment.
Yes, they work great. I often turn them on just so I can't hear the plane. They work great. There are some noises you will hear, but they sound like little tiny voices, far far away.

Can I recharge the battery from a wall plug with the Kindle usb-wall plug?

I have a wall plug-usb adapter I use to charge my kindle. I can use it in the US or abroad (220v) It has an output of 5.0 v, .85 amps.

Can I use this plug to connect the usb cable and recharge the Bose QC20 noise cancelling earbuds?
I have done that. I have also recharged from my pc. I have a single charger with this funky little end on it that recharges multiple electronic items including my wireless card, my jam box and these.

Use while charging?

Would it do any harm to the battery or electronics to use them while charging?
No, I have done that. Also, the charging is for the noise canceling, not for the use of the headphones. You can use the headphones without turning on the noise canceling.
