I have to admit, I have this obsession with hair removal. I have tried all different ways of removing hair on multiple places on my body and because I am a natural blond, the laser method does not work too great unless my hair is a bit darker, like on my legs. Out of the box I charged it, which did not take too long at all. I used it for the first time on those pesky little blond hairs on my chin, because there is no way I am going cut or shave my chin, and boy did it grab those and leave smooth skin behind! A lot better than my current epilator! Since I was used to the sensation, I used it on #2 and it was easy. What is great about epilation is that it takes longer for you to see grow back, and the growth gets weaker and weaker the more you do it and over time! Love that! It is also water proof, so wonderful that you can put under running water to clean with a little swipe of the cleaning brush.. I also Love that this epilator is rechargeable! Up until now, I only had hard wired ones. This epilator is also expandable to other grooming tools such as a trimmer/shaver, callus remover, etc. That is a great feature to make better use of an grooming appliance! I am very pleased!

As the Lexie B2 hearing aid comes out of the box, everything is packed nicely and the instructions are simple and easy to follow. I currently use hearing aids purchased at a brick-and-mortar store that uses batteries, and thought these would be a nice change and a step up, especially the rechargeable feature.
The hearing aids as received out of the box kept falling out of my ears and I had to stick them into my ears over and over during the day. To the point where it was irritating. After reading the instruction booklet that came with them, it seemed like the receiver wire was just too short for me. I called the customer service of the company and was told that the different size wires would be $10 for shipping and handling. These adjustment needs should be included in the purchase price, not extra. My current hearing aids receive free replacement parts, service and adjustments just by visiting the store and asking for it.
I did receive the new receiver wires after about 3 or 4 days in the mail and it was easy to replace them. That sure did make them more comfortable and stayed in my ears much better. My current hearing aids have an extra wire that comes from the ear bud that helps to tuck and hold the ear bud in place. Adding this extra wire would be a design enhancement, I think.

The Lexie B2 Hearing Aids do have a large volume range for adjustment which allows one a bit more freedom in different settings. How they amplify sound is amazing! I can now hear my turn signal as it clicks on and off in the car. When my cell phone rings, its twice as loud as before and I don’t miss as many calls or texts. Just turning on a faucet and hearing the water run and splash is just amazing! I forgot how much sound is out there to hear!

I decided to get a dash cam since I like my husbands in his car so much. I received this NextBase 320 XR with both a front and rear camera. It had the basics that I was looking for, such as video clarity in HD (1080p), and the ability to see the clips on your computer either with or without removing the Micro SD card, and you did not have to download another app on your cell phone.
The box came with a quick start guide that was essentially useless with only pictures. To tell you the truth, I was a little bit intimidated about the install and how it would go. There was no way I was going to pay someone to install this for me, so I had to do it. Since the quick start guide was useless, I went to the NextBase website to download the manual which gave a lot more instruction on charging the unit before starting, how/where to install Micro-SD card, as well as formatting it. Yes, format the Micro-SD card in the cam and not in your computer for it to work. I also checked the firmware on the cam as the manual suggested and I did not have to update as I had the latest firmware.
The manual gave you a good idea of where the wires should be installed in your car and how to run them. I did go to YouTube for some added instruction on how to hide the wires for my particular car. Thank goodness for instruction videos on YouTube! NextBase also has some YouTube videos you can access from their website as well. I watched everything I could for instruction, then took a deep breath and went at it…it took about 2-3 hours. Not bad for an older woman with a bum shoulder. The tool that was included to help with hiding the wires sure did help, but I still broke 3 fingernails in the process. When I installed the mount on the dash cam, I was really pleased to feel that the magnet was super strong and felt sure it would not fall down while driving. I got everything plugged in and started the car. Picture came up for the front camera and I had picture-in-picture for the rear cam, but no picture from the rear cam. Ok, time to troubleshoot and find out what went wrong.
I sent an email to the company’s support people and a few hours later I got an automatic response to look at a few FAQ’s that were not helpful at all. Four days later, I still have not gotten a reply from the company’s support team, and I just gave up counting the days. Eventually, I figured out after reading the manual yet again, that the rear power cable to the rear camera had to be pushed together with quite a lot of force to hear a ‘click’. Success!
I went on a few drives around the neighborhood to check out the recordings for camera placement, range, and clarity. Instead of removing the SD card, I took the camera to my PC for viewing. I connected the camera via the cord provided and chose to access the files. I first accessed the videos via file explorer and was able to see that the video format was the universal format of MP4. The files also had an _FR or _RE at the end of the file name to indicate whether it was a recording of the front or rear camera respectively. I appreciated that detail. I opened the files via the windows movie player which allowed me to see and hear each recording. Each 1-minute video had the NextBase logo in the upper left of the video, the Dashcam model in the lower left, and the date in the lower right along with the time into the trip. It did not show the time of day or the speed I was traveling though. I went into the settings for the can and think I have added the time of day, but will try it next trip. There is no option for driving speed. The drawback using the windows movie player was that I could not zoom in or manipulate the video in any way. When I tried to edit by using “trim” or “draw”, I got an error message. I then downloaded the MyNextBase Player from the website which provided better audio to each video, as well as having editing options such as zooming, joining videos, trimming, annotating, adding titles, etc. Not a bad little player. It also has a speedometer and compass for direction, both of which did not work with my videos since the 320XR did not come with GPS or Wi-Fi.
While viewing the videos both in the windows movie player and MyNextBase Player, I tried to read a license plate of a truck that I passed (15-20 mph) parked on the side of the road. Even with zooming in using MyNextBase Player, the clarity of the video was not good enough to make out the numbers and letters. I did not think that was very good. When one has to rely on the recordings because of some incident, you would hope that you could read license plates in the videos, especially if they were not that far from the camera. I also noticed my neighbors walking their dog in the video. In real life, I could recognize who they were along with the color, shape and size of the dog, but in the video, again, the clarity was not there to make out these details. Not even the color of the dog.
So, in summary, the unit is good for recording in macro mode and will capture an incident on the road, which is what you need it for, but don’t rely on it to record the license plates of each car in detail unless the car is stopped in front of the cam. Write down or use your cell phone camera to take pictures of car plates.

Reviewing the Escort Max 360C MK11. To be fair I'm still in the learning mode with the detector as the unit did not come with a users manual in the box. The quick start guide which did come with the unit suggested going to the website and search there for the manual. Using the Escort website I found there is no manual for a MAX360C MK11. There's a similar model but not the exact model so that leaves me wondering if I have all the correct info for getting the most out of the detector. The quick start guide also suggests downloading & connecting to an app called Drive Smarter. I did try to do this, but got a message that the app was not compatible with our device. I have a Galaxy S7, which might be the problem as it is an older cell phone, so we could not download the most up to date version of the program. Again, I found a similar older app, but again I'm left wondering if I'm getting the full benefits from the detector.
I'm using this unit to replace my old Escort X50 Passport 8500 unit. That unit was pretty much what I call plug n play. Simply plug it in drive. You really only had to decide if you wanted city mode or highway mode. The new unit (Escort Max 360) gives you the option if you so desire to customize the bands of radar it senses ( 15 options) as well as four color display choices & three warning tone choices. You can also have voice announcements if you desire. Simply put, if you're a rocket scientist you'll love this unit's ability to be personalized. If you like things simple, like me, you'll be thankful that there's a novice mode which are the default factory settings right out of the box.
To date the differences between my old unit & this new unit is there's way less false alarms. I think the screen on the old unit was easier to see in bright daylight conditions. As far as warning time & distance from radar when the detector goes off, it's hard to see a difference. I think for me the biggest plus is the dramatic drop in false alarms. I'm learning & getting more comfortable with the unit each time I drive. I'm sure as time goes by I'll learn more about the features & how to utilize them. I gave only 4 stars instead of a 5 is because it's kinda pricey and the difficulty with the website & app.

I have been using this laptop for a few months now and can say that I like it. Once I found out where the power button was and where to plug it in to charge, since they were not labeled, I had to figure out the new windows setup. Now that I am more familiar with the laptop after a couple of months, it is much easier to use. I also like that it is light weight enough to throw in my bag for travel, and holds the charge for quite a while. For a short one day trip, you can leave the charger at home. Nice! On the internet browser, it switches from tab to tab quickly without waiting for stuff to load. I usually have 6 or more tabs running on my browser at once. It is also nice to sit on the couch in front of the tv and not have to be hard wired to electricity. The computer is sleek looking in terms of thinness, and size, but would prefer a different color than silver, but is still nice. Bottom line is that I like the laptop a lot and am glad that I got it..my old laptop has to be hardwired for power and I am sure will go down pretty soon. This is a wonderful new replacement!

I just received this computer and I have been playing with it for a couple of weeks now. I was looking for a laptop that was relatively small, lightweight, and easy to carry...This is the one! It is a great smaller size, easy to lift, won't make a dent in your shoulder when carrying in a shoulder bag. I am pleased. It was easy to start by lifting the lid and I followed the directions. Typing on the key board was a bit tough, since the letters were illuminated and white against a silver key. I do not know if I have control of the illumination, but it would be better to have some contrast between the keys and the letters. When I was done for the day, I plugged it in and left it to charge overnight, stupid me, I plugged the charge cord in the wrong slot...would have been nice to actually label them. In the next few days, I tried to uninstall the virus software that came with the computer and install my own, and that was challenging. It seems that the computer always got hung up trying to uninstall the software. I wanted to do a restart a few times and in the new windows 11, I had to search online how to do it. I guess there is always a learning curve to new software.. I finally gave up on removing the software, and bypassed it while installing my own. Once mine was installed, it was easier to remove the software I did not want. It was fast and easy to get to the internet and browse, check email, etc. Besides the new windows software that I have to learn to use, I think the computer is pretty sweet! I hope it lasts like my old dells did!

I was really surprised when I opened the clock to find how small it was.. I expected something like a 4 x 6 inches. Instead, it is like 4.5 inches wide, 3.75 inches high and 2.25 inches deep. The screen is even smaller, but amazingly, I can see the time across the room! There is something about the colors of the numbers that make them easy to read for even older people like me! I really like it! I connected it to my pandora account and the music sounds awesome. The volume up and down controls are right on the top with a minus and plus sign, so easy to adjust. I have not tried asking google to lower or increase the volume yet, but will try it. I like asking google things as well. The only thing I cannot fix is when I say 'good morning' to it, it tells me the wrong time. I tried to fix it, and looked up how to fix it, but tried 3 times and failed. So, not so important...every other time I ask what time it is, the announcement is correct. It is a real fun device and is my first smart device...concerned about privacy, I was able to customize the privacy in the settings. I like having privacy control. Definitely a nice gadget to have. I would recommend this.

I was looking for a massager for my shoulders and upper back for some relief. As you can imagine, many massagers cannot get to many spots on the back unless your arm can bend in weird ways to reach it. This massager has an extension arm that snaps on to allow you to reach all kinds of places. I had a difficult time connecting the unit to my wireless network via my cell phone following the included directions, so I used it quite a few times following the programs on the display screen without updating. It had four programs, Pain Relief, Calm, Energy, and Rest. You pick one and then the next screen would be another choice, either guided or manual. As you can imagine, guided prompted you and the manual relied on you to move the unit to different points on your body. The rhythmic vibrations increasing and decreasing in intensity are supposed to provide the relief or just make you feel better. I think all the programs were only 3 minutes long, so you had to repeat them quite a few times to get any relief. During the programs you can adjust the intensity of the vibrations from 1 up to 3. I did not think this was too intense, given that I am used to a massage gun.
I finally decided to try my ipad to connect the massager to my wireless network and it went smoothly. Once connected, it downloaded some updates. One of the updates was a new program that is called “Level”. This program allows you to massage any area on your body for any period of time at any intensity from level 1 to level 4. They added the level 4 on the update too. Level 4 is much more intense and more satisfying, that is for sure.
They also included a nice charger base where you can store the different massage heads. I tried 2 of them so far, and like the hard plastic nub since it can really get into those muscle trigger points, especially in the upper back where we all hold that stress. I also use it around my shoulder that I recently had surgery on and my muscles get all tight and sore. This helps to loosen them up so they are not so painful.
It is a nice compact unit, but it only charges via usb connection. That is a bummer since not all my outlets have usb connections and I am not going to keep it plugged in to my laptop. They should have provided a normal electrical plug for normal outlets, and then I can bring it the office. I will have to buy a usb charging hub that plugs into the wall to plug it in at the office. A bit more expense just to have it handy.
All in all, it is a cute nifty product that gets the job done!

My review of the Fossil Gen 6 watch.
First, I really wanted to like this watch. It's been several years since I got a new time piece & I was looking forward to something that was both stylish & functional.. Sadly this watch failed both of my expectations .
The watch appearance is more of something you'd wear for work or just everyday living. I would not wear it with a suit or to a business meeting.
Now for as far as using the watch, it has many functions that don’t actually work. I only have one piece of advice. FORGET IT!
Seriously, I used to make fun of my elderly Mother for not being able to work a VCR or print on her printer. Shame on me because I now completely understand how she felt.
First complaint is the watch comes with what maybe is the worlds smallest instruction manual. For a watch with as many functions as this watch has there's like none, zero information to help you understand or get the most out of the watch. The booklet that comes with the watch simply says, turn it on, connect it to your charger, enable Bluetooth & follow the on screen instructions.
The instructions what you to download all these apps. An app for Facer, a app for Google Pay, a app for Nike run club.
I have no problem downloading a app for things I'll use but if I'll never use it why can't I just delete it from my watch & simplify my options. And, to make matters worse on the apps I did download, they worked one time & then when I went to use it again they wanted me to again download the app? Why didn't it just save my info?
I did a internet search & found for starters the watch was launched with a old operating system...OS 2. The watch will at some point in the future get OS 3, but depending on where you get your info that could be 6 months to a year down the road. Will OS 3 improve the watch and in the mean time will a even more advance operating system come along? Only time will tell. Myself, I'd be hesitant to buy a watch today & hope 6 months later OS 3 is released.
In the end I found myself totally frustrated with the watch. What worked one time wouldn't work the next. Your suppose to be able to view your watch apps on your phone. I tried & tried but never could. The battery would sometimes not even last the day without putting the watch into a energy saving mode. When the watch does that you lose all your setting & then have to reset your choices.
Bottom line, watch is going back in the box & I'm going back to my old simple Chronograph watch.

I have an older model of the iRobot Roomba and this new one is great! This one is going to live on the second floor where I have all carpet. The set up was easy with all the parts and the waste bags that go in the waste area. Those are great! That is the way that dirt should be captured! Clean and neat and just throw it out and replace the bag! Setting it up on the app was also easy even with my older Roomba still on the app. I sent it on its first job and I was amazed at how quiet it was! It was so quiet that I questioned whether it was actually vacuuming or not! That was a big improvement over the older model! I love how the unit goes in straight lines through the room and as it cleans, it is mapping out my floor plan! I came upstairs once during the day and was surprised that it found its way back to the docking station. That is always good, but noticed that it skipped 2 rooms! Next time I went upstairs the unit was on and working again! It must have docked itself to charge a bit to finish the job! Pretty good! I have used the Roomba a few times now and I don't know why, but it keeps on missing one of my rooms on the second floor. Another thing that I noticed, is while walking around upstairs after the unit was docked, I was finding these little carpet balls on the carpet. Like the unit was full and the fibers from the carpet just rolled around under the Roomba and then eventually just got left on the carpet. Another thing that I hope that does not happen is to leave black scuff marks on my white baseboards. The older model does that and I had to cover the bumpers with clear packaging tape to prevent it. I am looking forward to many years of use and hope the waste bags are not too expensive!
I would recommend this to a friend!

How well do these work for silencing out loud snoring from your bed partner?
They actually work pretty well for that. I had the same issue, and use them when it really gets to me. I have to put them a little bit louder to mask the snoring, but it does work.

Yes, I have the same 690 model and that is what I noticed first about it. Very loud. Can't watch TV with the thing going!

Self Installation with new laptop
Is the set up simple or should I take my laptop into the store to get set up?
Very simple, just follow the directions. The router is already set up with a secure connection and the password is also already set up. It is on a piece of paper on the bottom of the router. Good luck.

Two side by side computers are used.
The solid green light in front sometimes turns red- maybe once a month or so thereby I lose me internet. I disconnect cables, including the power and re-connect, and sometimes the green bar goes on and sometimes not. I disconnect again and sometime or other, it turns green. Is the router bad or something? Or is there something else you can suggest that might help?

I find that most of the time it is the internet connection that drops out instead of the router. This is experienced mostly with the lowest cost internet services as the signal is not reliable.

Will Nettalk duo work with this?
I'd like to buy a Nettalk duo or a Magic Jack to replace my current phone system and monthly bill. I do not have internet at this location and don't want to get it just to have phone access.
Is this what, and all I need to get phone service using a Nettalk device, or will I need something in addition to this?

You will always need an internet connection, or source, to use magic jack or other internet telephone.
