I am not sure why , I am not able to charge my cannon 600D battery with is product. so returned it.

Do they have one that doesn't have to be charged

I know someone who never takes it off so then do you just have to replace the battery
vivo smart come in with a USB charger, so you don't have to replace the battery. You can recharge it.

Does watch measure cycling activity/distance?

I am a 60-something male whose primary form of exercise is cycling. Does the Garmin watch measure distance traveled?
Garmin Vivosmart does not measure distance traveled when you are on the wheel.
That said, there are other devices that you can pair with vivoSmart and get the job done
