This hard drive works pretty good. Not the fastest but that is usb. I like it.

Does the cord provided with this product go from a 3.0 to a 3.0 or a 2.0 to a 3.0?

Yes, you can use it for both. when you use it on a 2.0 usb the light on the drive is white. when it is on a 3.0 usb, the light is blue. works on both.
