how many gb does it take to stream a movie

There is no minimum or maximum more of a better quality factor. There isn't a specific amount it's just low gb will have bad quality and high gb will have high quality.

How to output the sound when connecting chromcast to a monitor without built-in speaker?

I am trying to chromcast the content from laptop to my 27inch monitor, and the computer monitor doesn't have built-in speaker. I am not able to make the sound work. Is there any workaround?

There are two ways. 1 is to have a converter where it breaks the hdmi into a video and audio splitter. Video to the monitor and then audio to an external speaker. 2 you can plug speakers into your PC and use that as your audio.
