I blew one of my factory speakers on my 2016 crosstrek. So I decided to pick up the kickers all I have to say is wow what a difference. Now I'm going to get a amp installed on my factory gps head unit. Don't get me wrong the head unit delivers ok power to them. But you can tell that the speakers can handle a lot more power.
I would recommend this to a friend!

can i just replace the speakers or do i need to replace the stereo too????

You can just replace the speakers they will be a nice upgrade from the factory ones. I just did the same thing

If I buy a pair of speakers, does geek squad install them in my car and how much would it cost to get 2 speakers installed?

I just installed them myself I was quoted mid $60. Plus the cost of wiring harnesses. The only good thing about having them do it is free removal if you sell or trade your car. They will put your old ones back in if you want to keep the new ones.
