We bought this camera for a home security. The picture is very clear. The audio can be a bit difficult to hear. It is helpful to be able to view the camera from our Smart Phones.

I will only use the SanDisk brand for my business. I am a photographer and I upload my images on to flash drives every day. The SanDisk brand is the only device I will purchase. It saves me a lot of time. The upload time for 100+ photo's on the 8 GB is under five minutes where some inferior brands the upload time can be up to 45 minutes. I will even pay the extra few dollars for this brand because they save me so much time.

How is this camera powered? battery? and can i rotate it remotely
Just two questions - How is it powered? by battery OR wired? And will I be able to rotate the field of view remotely?
It is wired. You have to plug it in. You can't rotate it but you can take a picture when needed.

will this work on a mac computer?
some types don't work with macs, and that's what i need it for, so i'm trying to make sure it's worth it.

can this be used for a labtop back-up?
I use mine for some of my document and photo backups. I also have an external hard drive.

which capacity "flash drive" do I need?
(long story short0 I am one of seven brothers lost during childhood, separated to the foster program. Through the efforts of my 1st cousin, we have been in contact with each other. One of my brothers received our mothers collection of pictures and wants to use his scanner to put in computer then transfer to flash drives for each of the surviving brothers. One has past since our reunion by phone and I have not seen a picture of myself under the age of ten, so I am very anxiously awaiting your response. Thank You in advance, Rocky
It depends on the size and amount of pictures. You could always buy two 16gb and return one if you end up not using it.
