It started with a music player that could play anything from Prime Music to Spotify and Pandora, and it gives you hands-free convenience, yet it can now control lights, switches and thermostat and answer questions thanks to advanced voice recognition. I compared this with the google home for a few weeks. We like that we can add items to our joint gmail calendar and add items to our shopping list with ease. Not a fan that you need amazon prime to play any song you want, but syncing other music sources are pretty easy and make up for this. It lacks asking for facts that google home tends to answer with more ease. We are adding automated lighting this week, looking forward to seeing how this works. Hope they keep upgrading it to keep adding new automation devices. Pretty fun and useful tool it has proven to be. Just added an echo dot for upstairs too. Also to note, adding the Alexa and Any.DO app to our iPhones has helped improve the usefulness of the device also

I bought this blu ray player for our theater room. It is hooked up to an HD projector. It was fairly simple to connect to the wifi and took several minutes to update. Has many of the popular apps and the blu Ray player had a great picture. A Best Buy value for the money for what I was looking for.

How can I change the battery?
The battery does not last as long as advertised. Possibly the battery needs replacing, even though I just bought these speakers...? So if anyone knows how to change the batter I would appreciate hearing from you...
I have found the battery lasts about as long as advertised with normal volume use. The battery well obviously last less time than advertised at increased volumes. I'm not sure about how to take the battery out and if that is possible as I have not found the need after a couple of years yet.

Can I play music loaded in my USB flash through the USB port at the back of speaker
I have my music loaded in a memory card that is inside a flash drive. I inserted the flash drive in the USB port at the back but it did not play.
I believe you have to use a Bluetooth enabled device.

How do you know when the speaker is charged?
are you suppose to charge with the wire they give you or the USB port charger? when you charge the speaker are you suppose to leave it on or off?
I have always used the AC plug that is provided with the speaker. It will charge the battery if the speaker is on or off. You're charging time will depend if you're using it or not. I believe it takes a couple of hours to charge fully when the speaker is not being used and is turned off. I don't recall but I believe there is a light on the top that will go off when it is fully charged but I'm not 100% sure about that.

Can I connect my PC with a 3.5mm audio cable?
I know there is another port in the back of the speaker but I don't recall what it is I would go to a Best Buy store and look at it specifically

Will the sound fill a small ballroom?
I'm a fitness instructor looking for a good portable speaker for my classes. I teach in a small ballroom that's about 2000 sq. ft. Will the sound fill the room? If not, can anyone recommend a portable speaker that would fill the room?
I believe the speaker would file room of about 400 ft.² with some of the added noise of the group but much bigger and I think you would want to go with something different

Unsure of this, I seem to remember there is another plug in the speaker but not 100% sure what it is for.

Bluetooth with my PC?
If I get a Bluetooth adapter for my PC, it should work right?
I would think it should work as my MacBook Pro which has Bluetooth will play on this speaker.
