What's great about it: Capable little printer!
It was time to upgrade from a HP 6500 wireless and I had been reading reviews on the 8600 Pro Plus for a while. They were helpful but some had me worried. I've been using this unit for about a month now and am thrilled with the features and performance thus far. It's too early to provide feedback on the ink consumption as I'm still on the original cartridges supplied with the printer.
What I like:
1. Quiet - compared to the 6500
2. Quicker warm-up and print - compared to the 6500
3. Ability to convert incoming faxes to PDF and e-mail them to me, which is very handy when I'm away from the office.
4 Easier to fax & scan multiple documents
5. Ability to print on both sides of the page.
6. Ability to set up multiple "scan to" addresses. My wife and I both work out of our homes, so this has come in handy.
About me... Demand high print quality, Frequent user
I would recommend this to a friend!

Can you please explain what efax is, and how it works?

I've read a number of reviews that mention efax, a function on the HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus , but can't find any info on it.
It's one of my favorite features on this printer. Incoming faxes are converted to a PDF and then emailed to me directly. No more waiting till I get back to the office to pick up a fax which allows much quicker turnaround time for some items.
