Bought this microwave because it was the closest fit to my built in size. Microwave takes longer then previous one that was 1200 w. This one is 1100 but old one took 1 min 30 sec to boil water, this one 2 min so the 1000 w diff is a lot. This microwave looks great! But, the great looks have a cost. The touch pad is a bit hard to see because it is has a reflective finish. The inside is dark grey and not white, plus the light is on the side rather than in the back. This makes it a bit hard to see the food while cooking. That is why I said it was good and not great.

This extender is awesome. Paired it with a Linksis AC1200+dual band 2.4, 5GHZ router. Followed instructions and it came up immediately. Is being used in a 4 bedroom dorm. The Linksis is in a back bedroom and had a very weak signal in the living room (about 50ft away and through several walls). Put the extender in the living room and now have max signal for both 2.4 and 5G. This was especially surprising since everyone in the building has a router. Lastly, the instructions said you have to synch the extender for 2.4 then repeat the procedure for 5GHZ. It appears that you don't have to do it 2X as the device was smart enough to know there were 2 bands and synched them both. I would highly recommend this extender. PS, I Tried a linksys extender first, to keep everything the same but it did not extend the signal and didn't work. This extender worked perfectly. I would recommend.

This is a great laptop/desktop touchscreen computer. I like the 3 USB 3.0 ports. Also comes with a free plug in subwoofer that makes the sound much better than with only the built in speakers. Lastly the screen can fold under so you can use as a tablet. A little heavy for my taste but it is an option. I fold the screen so that the keyboard is upside down facing the desk and use the screen as a monitor,since I use a cordless keyboard and mouse. It looks cool in this configuration. So far I really like this computer. BTW, it is very fast too!

I like this toaster. It toasts waffles, french toast and bread well. I also like the countdown timer. It seems gimicky but it is nice to know when the toast will be done so you don't have to watch it if you are in a hurry. No complaints so far.

This is an excellent router. So good in fact, that I purchased 3 of them. 1 for my daughter at college and 2 for the house. The 2 in the house are set up as 1 ssid so I can roam throughout the house without dropping the connection. Linksys tech support was excellent in assisting me to set up the router in this configuration. Also, these routers are super stable. Only time that I have had to reboot was after a superfast double power hit. Note that other power hits didn't bother these bad boys! They restored on their own. Buy it if you are looking for an outstanding stable router.

I had bought this new semi rigid vent kit with my new dryer. Unfortunately, the installer said it would not work because it was solid and not flexible like my existing vent kit. So, I returned it and used my existing one. If your arrangement requires a bend close to your dryer this will not work because it is rigid.

Dryer dries fine and is quiet. I really like that the last settings stay programmed when you turn the dryer off. Would have rated higher except for the fact that you must turn the dryer off to start another load. Wish it just allowed you to accept the settings and press start again. Also, the top is a bit sloped rather then completely flat. If you leave items that don't have a lot of friction on the top, the dryer"s vibration could cause them to fall on the floor. Lastly, the pleasant tone that signals when a load is done could be louder. There is an adjustment that says you can make it louder but it just changes the tone.

Can u see your food through the door window while its heating up? Or does the door always have a mirror effect look to it?
Yes, you can see your food, but not as good because the light is on the right side and the interior is dark grey.

Timer question revised
Let me try asking my original question another way.
I want to be able to set the timer on the microwave for 10 minutes while I boil a potato on the stove. While that timer is counting down those 10 minutes I want to cook frozen veggies for 6 minutes.
Can the timer work as a timer while the microwave is cooking?
My current (and all my previous) microwave oven can/could do this. This is an extremely important feature for me. I wish to find a mid-size microwave that can run the timer as the time while also cooking. In other words, be able to use the microwaves timer as a timer while food is cooking, thus they are separate functions that can function at the same time.
Please advise.

I purchased the NETGEAR - AC1200 Dual-Band Gigabit Wi-Fi Range Extender - White, and it works in a Dorm with many routers. The extender is about 50' from the router and goes through several walls. I would recommend finding out what router your father has and speaking with a Best Buy person to ensure that you find an extender to match the router. But I highly recommend this extender.

the 4 ports usb works without the power plugged in. so what is the power for ???
Is the 110 power for charging up items ??? the usb ports work even when not plugged into 110 adapter.
The power cord can be used always or only when you have a lot of USB devices that draw too much for your computer. Basically if it works OK without the cord then you don't need it. However, if you start having issues then plug in the cord for more power and less drain from your computer.

Can you receive live tv on your iPad with TiVo - Stream?
Yes you can. It is a bit slower because you have to record the live program first. Then you can view it as it is recording. The Stream works pretty hard to do this though. Time Warner has an app that allows you to view many programs live. I find it better to watch live TV this way rather then ask Tivo to do it. Tivo is better at streaming programs already recorded. Just my 2 cents.

can I download a .tivo file to my iPad using Stream for playback when away from wireless?
just wondering if its only streaming or can I download for playback later. And can I get to my tivo system from the Internet (i.e. from outside my home network) or does it only work on devices connect to my home network?
