The only possible drawback to this device is its size. When in use it does not stick WAY out. when carried it doesn't take up a lot of room in your pocket. I find 16Gb is large enough for nearly all file/data transfers.

what is the maximum size you can scan?
I need to be able to scan 10.5x12.5 paper
8.5 x 12 larger you will need to spend a LOT more money on the photo scanner to scan that size.

Yes a holder is provided. It will take about 10-15 minutes to scan 4 slides, time will vary depending on the dpi chosen.

I have a lot of old negatives that are much larger in size. Can this scanner be used with the larger older negatives? Thank you.
Yes, the scanner will handle 2.5 inch negatives.

how to scan multiple photos and get thumbnails
Space your photos 3/4 inch apart and this will give individual thumbnails and files.

Yes, there is an easy to use holder for slides and negatives.
The time is dependent on the dpi you use to scan. The scanner will scan 4 (four) slides at a time and two negative strips, with room for more, (8 pictures) my experience is at 4800 dpi, once started takes about 30 minutes. Scan of negatives is recommended at 4800 dpi, all 8 negative pictures are stored in individual files. Each slide is also stored in a separate file.
