This is a great little remote but it's so small it can be easy to lose. This was a replacement for the one my wife stepped on after I knocked it off the couch accidentally. I do like the light, all aluminum construction versus the cheap plastic models.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Plugged it into an open port in my router, turned it on, and was ready to access and use it right away. Online documentation and help system is stellar, and configuring more advanced user, permissions based folder access was really very easy.
Moreover, I have a office computer that runs Ubuntu Linux desktop, and a Linux server, and I was able to configure both to access WD My-Cloud very easily, as well as connect my mobile WD My-Cloud app to my Google Drive accounts.
I couldn't be happier, and couldn't recommend this drive more.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Can you use for wifi video stream?

Has anyone used the My Cloud for video streaming over wifi router? How does it perform?

Yes. Streaming a 1080p video to my Macbook, iPhone, or iPad. I did find that there was some extra buffer time loading files when streaming to my Android device, but i have not experienced any problems with it.

Cloud sharing

Can it be configured for 3 or more people, so that each has their our allocation of space? Each person should be able to access it from a mapped drive letter on their computer. It should also be password protected.
Yes. You can setup individual users and permissions allowing them to access only those folders on the drive you allow. And using one of a variety of network connection methods (depending on the OS you are connecting from) you can create a mapped drive that is mounted or bookmarked on the users client computers and devices.
