Easy to set up for my 2012 Mac Mini. All I had to do was plug it in, tell Time Machine to use it, and I can forget about it. It does take a long time the first time it backs up, but after that . . . no problems.

No problems at all with this. I formatted it for my Mac using Disk Utility and it works great: copies quickly and fits nicely into my Mac Mini USB 3.0 ports.

What's great about it: Great Quality
What's not so great: No manual; only printed materials supplied were in Spanish
I bought this to go with my new Mac Mini. When I opened the box, I was disturbed to find that the only documentation supplied was in Spanish (an English owner's manual can be downloaded at http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/manualCategory?cc=us&lc=en&product=5304268), and the supplied software was no good for a Mac. I shouldn't have worried though; it was easy to set up and the Mac required no third-party software to run it.
There was one problem, but it wasn't the monitor's fault. Mac ships the Mini with the display controls set to maximum over-scanning. When I set it all up, I couldn't see the menu selections at the top of the screen. I could just barely see the tops of the images in the dock at the bottom of the screen. I managed to get into System Preferences>Display, and slid the control for the over-scan all the way to the right, and then everything was perfect. I recommend that you get into System Preferences by using the dock image. The top menu offerings are impossible to see, though they are there if you send your cursor all the way to the top.
This product has... Attractive design, Easy to setup, No speakers, HDMI connection

How many photos will Seagate Mac 1TB hold? I have almost 7000 on my computer!
If all the photo files combined add up to less than 999.86 megabytes, the answer is "yes."

It comes with a USB cord; you don't need to buy anything.

Does base allow screen to be raised up and down and/or rotated left and right?
I want a base that will allow me to be able to rotate screen without moving base so that a customer can see screen. Will this do that?
No to both questions. Since the whole affair is so light, it's real easy to spin the whole thing around, though that might lack a certain style if you're trying to impress a customer with your hardware.
