Small, easily portable, and works seamlessly with TimeMachine. Enough storage space to back up both my Macs. Quite satisfied.
I would recommend this to a friend!

First of all, the cost is very misleading. After you purchase the computer, you then have to spend $50+ on software to run *anything*. Then, the trackpad was very jumpy, and frustrating to use. I ended up using a USB mouse. Updates were needed continually to use the software (not sure if this is a Toshiba issue, or a Windows issue). The problem with that was the downloads would time out, or just not work at all. I could not watch any videos (again, a download issue). The battery life was a joke. Internet only worked when I sat directly next to the router (this was not an issue with the router, as other computers did fine, anywhere in the house). I was never able to connect to my wireless printer. We finally gave up and returned the computer. The Toshiba was supposed to be an economical replacement for the Macbook Pro that died an untimely death. By the time we bought the computer, protection, and software, we were nearly at the price of a Mac, anyway. So we returned the Toshiba and just got the Mac (which we should have done in the first place!) Took the Mac out of the box, and 5 minutes later, everything was running--including my printer and videos. Nothing beats a Mac!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Will it work in a Macbook Pro?

I have a 3rd generation Macbook Pro and was just wondering if the Toshiba hard drive will work with Macbook. Would I need to purchase any additional parts or software? Currently I have Mountain Lion OS X installed on the Mac.
Yes. It was "plug and go" for my Macbook Pro (used with Time Machine). Nothing additional needed.
