UPSs' are a necessity with the power company I have. THEY ARE NOT ALL THE SAME!!! I purchased an APC - Back-UPS 1080VA UPS to use with my iMac as the previous UPS died a horrible death. This unit not only functions as it should but it has a display too tell you the line voltage, battery charge and the load you have placed on it. Flawless protection! Then another UPS decided to die on my Dell (desktop) and I was on another trek to get another UPS. I was fortunate to find the exact same model at Best Buy. No brainer. I have terrific protection on all of my machines.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Can I use this for my home network router and network switch and home network server (QNAP TS-451 +) ??? All equipment is connected in my master bedroom closet. Thank you :)

Not knowing the power requirements of the Network Server, it is difficult to give an exact reply. However, your router and network switch would not place much of a load on the device. One of the benefits of having a meter on the UPS box is to see how much of a load you are putting on it. Just guessing, if you do not have 20 hard drives running on the server, this box should work quite well for you.
