The adjustment controls run well, but are a bit confusing/difficult to learn. I installed the monitor for friends, who love it, just not when it comes to using the controls. If possible, I would give 4 & 1/2 stars.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What is the HDMI and what does it do?

HDMI= High Definition Multimedia Interface
There are three main points as I see them.
1. Combines audio and video into one cable.
2. Transfers higher quality digital content.
3. Can send information 2 ways.

when shutting down computer, moniter goes into sleep mode.

our previous monitors would shut down. this monitor has to shut down manually. is there a setting to shut it down automatically.
I am unaware of a setting on the monitor. I have always touched the power button. It takes all of 2 seconds. Since it is a touch-sensitive power button, it is more pleasant to use than the push on/off.

Need a small HDMI Cable to go with this monitor...

So I have a very badly placed graphics card and casing that stops me from using a normal HDMI Cable. Basically I can't fit a normal HDMI Cable into the socket due to the plastic edges stopping the actual metal connector part.

Are there any HDMI Cables that have an extended Metal Connector or smaller Plastic sides that would be able to help fix this problem that I could use without buying a cord and breaking the plastic parts off?

Note I don't need a mini HDMI cable, I need a normal one that will be small enough on the ends to fit into.
Have you tried shaving the encasement a bit with an xacto knife? This has worked for me in the past.
