While looking for a wireless mouse for my laptop, I came across this unit and it fit the bill. Good ergonomics, no problems with any lag (wireless) and nice color!

logitech wireless mouse 325

purchased 09-03-14. attempted to use 09-04-14. won't work. put in new battery. won't work. computer WIN 7 and currently using logitech wireless mouse mrby 125. can't see a reset button. am I supposed to download a new driver or something? Defective mouse?
Win 7 should provide the proper driver automatically when you attached the mouse's USB connector to the computer's USB port. Try and see if the USB port is working properly. Try to connect another USB device and see if it works. If the USB port doesn't work, try to connect the mouse, using another USB port and see if that fixes your problem. If not, I would contact Logitech for additional support.

Why does it work only intermittantly?

Mouse refuses to move sometimes.
Could be several issues....... Check the surface you are using it on. Could be that the surface is not reflecting the proper amount of light back to the mouse. Some surfaces will cause the mouse to not work properly, especially those that only have a solid color, versus a pattern.
