The size is so useful for traveling and you do not need an extra power to run it. Just Make sure you are using a MAC with this model. Otherwise you will have to download a driver to use it on a PC. It wont run on a PC unless you download the driver. If u are using a PC just get the regular version of this one.

Will this drive operate with Win 10?

Yes!. I have the 2TB version and it opens up in all Wins Ive tried. Vista, 7,8, and 10.
If you bought the MAC version, go to their website to download the driver.
