Overall fantastic. Cleans well, minimal impact on electric bill, lots of cycles handles all my laundry scenarios. I would have given 5 start, but...

Door open with hinge on right only. Dryer door can be flipped for either direction, I wasn't aware I needed to special order a unit to get the hinge on the right side.

"Cycle Complete" chime is a bit annoying. It's a little song that lasts a while. I'd like to change to a ding ding ding thing, or almost anything else.

Probably not too impactful for most, but I find these little things annoying...

I would recommend this to a friend!

Memory was a little more expensive than I thought it should be, but was fast enough to capture full resolution video from GoPro camera during vacation. Memory is much bigger than Battery in the camera can fill, so would definitely buy the same again for high speed, high resolution video capture.

I have been a GoPro fan for a while, but this wan my first purchase. Camera is good (rugged, small, self contained), with decent battery life. I wish there was a modular battery, but given the small size, and the lower price than the full GoPro camera, I can't complain.

Does this wash machine REQUIRE a pedestal or can it stand alone without a pedestal?

Pedestal is an option. Convenient for storage, and easier access to the interior, but not required.

How does Self Clean+ feature work to prevent mold?

Does the washer use heat or some fan to dry its interior, or does Self Clean+ mean some sort of washing cycle to rinse mold off the washer?

I wouldn't trust the self clean to prevent the musty smell from developing over time. I use a magnet to prevent the door from closing completely when not in use, and the interior dries completely in about 12 hours. Hopefully the musty smell will never develop.

Does the machine dispense the detergent, softener, bleach automatically when needed

Yes, you load up any or all of the 3 liquids at start of cycle, and they are integrated into the wash at the appropriate time.. I wish I could pour enough in for several loads at a time, but at this point, it's only what is needed for the load in progress.

Can sweaters and other hand wash items be washed in this machine, even though there isn't a specific hand-wash setting?

I have run several 'hand wash' items through on a gentile cycle with good results. I wouldn't run anything 'dry clean only' through it, but hand wash items seem to be OK in my experience.

Do you NEED the pedestal? Like, does the machine make a lot of noise without it? Other than giving height to the washer, why else is it necessary?

Pedestal not at all necessary. I use it for storage, and it reduces the amount of bending to get clothes in and out, so it's an expensive convenience option, but not necessary.

Is there a problem with this machine kicking out if it's out of balance in the spin mode??

The issue you describe has never happened to me. I don't usually use the highest speed spin option, but even on the pedestals, the unit stays put.
