I purched the platinum quick charge Car charger for a second charger in the car it works great fast charge it was on sell so I got a great deal the charger works great for all our phones and tablets

An excellent streaming player, It has all the channels you would ever need, Set up is very easy, the remote has a headphone jack. The Roku is small and will fit any where near TV. The Roku channel store has a huge variety of channels to choose from.
I would recommend this to a friend!

can one use only the Roku plus the TV (no phone, no DVD, etc.?

You must have High speed internet either wired or wireless for Roku to work. It streams content from internet to TV

Wired Network Connection

My TV is in a separate room from the computer and router. How can the Roku be set up since there is no cable from the TV to the router? Will I have to purchase a wireless bridge to complete the set up ?
You can run a Ethernet cable from router to Roku It has a Ethernet port on the back for wired network. Wireless set up is always a option

Will I need an HDMI cable with the Roku 3?
Yes you will need a HDMI cable, It doesn't come with the player.
