Only issue: it Doesn't actually come w/those Nook credits.

Can this samsung galaxy 3 kids tablet be connected to a hotspot device or cellular network?

I connect my daughter's to a hotspot, my iphone hotspot, and our home wifi.

How old a child will be happy with this item, as opposed, say, to a Kindle Fire

I'm a teacher and I would recommend the kids mode of the tablet for 2-4 year olds. Around 4 years old is when the kids mode may get boring and it can be switched to standard tablet mode which works well for 4+

does it come in any other colors?

Says green/yellow but the pictures show orange cover and yellow tablet.
I've only seen orange and yellow. I think those are the latest colors
