Can this TV be used in portrait mode connected to a PC or media player?

Not really sure if it can. Go to Sharp and see if you can get instruction manual and read to see if that will work.

Go to the apps store and you can download the free app for AVG a/v. I have that on my smartphone also and have no problems what so ever!!
