I'm not performing back ups with this drive. It is used simply to archive movies (torrent). Three things were important. USB 3.0, No external power required, and the price. This plugs right into my BlueRay player and holds a ton of media.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: speed
What's not so great: nothing yet
USB 3.0 transfer speeds make a HUGE difference moving files around.
This is not my first SanDisk thumb drive. I have 5 now. ranging from 1-6 years old. All working just fine.
This product has... Reliable, durable, Fast, Large capacity/good size
About me... Need storage for large media files
I would recommend this to a friend!

If this hard drive is USB 3.0, will it work with USB 2.0 ports?
Yes..it is backward compatible. Plug it in and see.
