The DVD players work great. We went on vacation and were able to entertain our 2yr old the whole way to Florida. We were also able to use them in the room.
The only bad thing would be that they don't run on batteries for when you don't have a power source available.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great price for a decent size tv. Went for the 32" but was unable to find a Sony 32". I was happy to upgrade to the 40". Lightweight tv with good picture quality. Sony never disappoints.

It serves it's purpose of holding the tv in place but isn't the easiest strap to tighten to have the best hold on the tv.

Do I just insert the DVD into the monitor, or would I have to buy the DVD insert seperate?

You are able to insert the dvd directly into the player. No additional hardware required
