DX-WLM1401-BK Connection?

I am having trouble setting up the connection between the mouse and the receiver. How long do I need to hold down the "Connect" button?

You shouldn't have to hold it down no more than 1 second. You should only have to do this once during set up and possibly every time you change the battery. If you can't connect the mouse to its receiver instantaneously, update your usb drivers or try another port.

If I have 2 of these on 2 different workstations and they are within a few feet of each other will they interfere with each other

No, each mouse has a separate built in wireless setting to pair with its receiver
