This works great if you hook your computer up to the TV. The touchpad is much easier then trying to keep track of a mouse pad or having a separate mouse and keyboard. Range is great though I haven't tried it over 20 feet. Battery life is excellent so far.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is a great mouse. It modified some of the best features of previous versions and added the side scroll wheel. This is perfect for anyone who has to deal with giant spreadsheets.
I have big hands so the size of it was perfect for me. My only complaint about the fit would be the location of the two buttons by the side wheel. They are behind the wheel so it makes it a lot more difficult to quickly hit them.
Software is easy to configure, however I had a bit of an issue with the application specific button switching. When I had my browser running, even though it was minimized it was still using those functions (Back & Forward) rather than my usual (Copy & Paste). Probably going to be fixed soon, though I haven't tried it much lately.
Battery life has been better than expected and charging time is very quick.
Long story short, great for anyone who uses a mouse a lot. Probably too expensive for the common user.

Compatible with Smart TV?
Will this be compatible with my smart tv? I need a wireless keyboard, but it cannot connect via bluetooth. It has to connect via a USB...similar to that with a wireless mouse.
Yes it should be able to control your smart TV. It uses a USB dongle so it will need a port for that. You might have some functions that don't work like volume control buttons.

Second keyboard
The some of the keys on my laptop won't work. I want to use this to replace my laptop keyboard. Can it be used for this purpose. Not interested in controlling TV with it.

Can I use this with the web browser on a Samsung UN48J5200AFXZA?
For example, to type in the address bar and compose emails, etc?
Yes though you'll probably find that some of the features like volume control don't work.

Does it have a lighted keyboard and number lock and cap lock?
Lighted: No this keyboard is not lighted. They do have a different keyboard that is though it's also more expensive.
Caps Lock: Yes it has caps lock.
Num Lock: No it doesn't have a number lock because it doesn't have a number pad, just the numbers on the standard keyboard (row below the function buttons).

Does this work with a Windows 10 PC?
There are no lights on the keyboard to indicate if it is even on, no light to tell if it is connecting, I have no idea if this is Bluetooth or not since I'm not sure what the Unifying device is, but I would assume it is Bluetooth? Does this only work on Windows 10 All-in-one systems or something? I swapped out the batteries and it still doesn't work. I was under the impression this works on any Windows 10 device as the box says, not sure what a TV-connected PC is, I have a PC with Windows 10 installed that uses a TV as a monitor, is that the same as the TV-connected PC the description is referring to?
Yes it works with Windows 10.
You need to plug in the tiny USB dongle (it is included with the device) and then turn on the keyboard. Give it a couple minutes and it should work. This is called that because you can run multiple different devices from one receiver. It only runs using the USB receiver, it does not run on Bluetooth.

Will this work on a Panasonic smart tv
No because you need a CD drive for the drivers or to download them online. However being a smart TV you have absolutely no reason for this device. This receives wifi signal, it does not transmit it.
