Rather than plug in my camera, I prefer to have an extra battery for rotation. To charge outside the camera, the travel charger does the job swiftly and securely. You can keep shooting while the extra battery charges.

What's great about it: Beautiful sound quality.
What's not so great: Not so easy to connect to tv without optical output
I wasn't satisfied with the sound coming out of my 40" flat screen TV. I saw this sound bar on sale with wireless woofer unit. It was a great purchase once I got it connected. It comes with LG optical connection which my TV does not accommodate. I had to run out a get an additional cable to go from rca plugs to mini-stereo input. Works great. It does not turn on and off with TV, so I am more intentional in its use. The sound for the price was excellent!

My computer was running out of hard drive space for all my photographs, taken in both raw and fine jpg format. This gave me a place to keep them and move them between computers. Excellent value for a great device.

would an external usb save information on my computer during a lightning strike
My office has 3 desktop computers, 1 is the main server, the other 2 are used by myself and my boss. Two weeks ago lines were struck by lightning. The computer my boss uses was affected it took out her motherboard. The main server is protected by an external usb. All the computer had surge protectors and battery pack backups connected too.
What should I buy for my computer in case another act of nature should happen?

I keep my important data on separate drives that are not kept plugged in to the computer. I only plug them in for back-up updates, and then remove them. A power surge from lightning would not affect these.

is compatible with the Playstation 3, to store data, movies, images. With this hard drive I can see the data on the playstation 3?
If you can put data on a jump drive, you can put tons of data on the portable hard drive. You just need a USB port.

Can I use this as a working external hardrive?
I am a CPA and have multiple companies QuickBooks Enterprise files saved in a Dropbox Folder which I work off of. I want to transfer my "working" copies of QuickBooks Enterprise to WD Passport and back up to DropBox but don't know if the WD works as an extended hard drive that I can work off of and it is saved in real time rather than having to start a back up process after I am finished with each company file. Please let me know.
I don't see why it wouldn't work as good for storing numbers as it does storing photography for me.
