For me,,,,for why I bought this dvd player I really just wanted to buy a bare bones system to play the few dvd,s that I own as of now,,,, I will up grade to a more advanced dvd player but,,,,I'm not in a rush at the moment to do so now. The DVD player works really well for me I also bought it because of the name brand (Sony)
I would recommend this to a friend!

Does this player play VCR tapes? I have many of old movies and family movies. if not, I need a player that plays vcr as well as dvd

I believe this particular dvd player does,,,,, (Not) have the feature of a v,c,r, built into it.
