Originally Sceptical about getting this device, as why is it needed?
Got on sale to give it a try. At the very least, it is bluetooth speaker. The small size makes in a good traveling solution.
The Dot does much more, I haven’t even touched its capacities. It plays music apps, including iHeart radio. It works as timer, reminder, alarm clock. It will give weather conditions, notifications of packages delivered, and has sound machine.
Only complaint is it seems to stop playing sound machine all night, Think Internet or wifi is dropping signal.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Got on sale and used award certificates to give it a try. At the very least, it is a good, Bose, bluetooth speaker.

The weird part is getting used to talking to it for commands.

The cost of the latest pad, makes this a great pad. If upgrading anything before iPad Air versions, this will be a good upgrade. If buying as a new iPad, the new lower cost makes this a great solution. Especially when on sale.

Housing does seem to easy scratch though (not sure how I scratched it).

One of the new lines of Wifi scales which tracks your progress via WiFi through App on the phone. Recommend buying on sale, due to higher costs of the WiFi scales. Looked at Garmin, FitBit, etc... The lower cost of this scale was reason for trying.

Watch has smart feature, linked to notification of the smart phone.
Tracks steps, includes barometric altimeter, and touch screen display. Bought for my wife. It seems better than Vivoactive due to integral HR feature.
I haven't tested any of the features, so not sure of accuracy. It seems the altimeter is supposed to determine number of stairs climbed, but doesnt appear too accurate based on comments from wife.
Liked enough that I also bought second unit for mother.

Used to convert lap top HHD to SSD, thus greatly increasing laptop boot and shutdown speeds. This isn't the fastest SSD on market, but so much faster than HHD.
Microseconds doesn't mean a lot in low end laptop anyway.

Yes, assign them different server names. I use my cloud as main NAS and back up to a previous generation WD NAS.

what are the plus and minus of My Cloud vs My Passport
My cloud is only accessible thru network setup, wired thru routers. Much more than a USB hard drive.

Can it be configured for 3 or more people, so that each has their our allocation of space? Each person should be able to access it from a mapped drive letter on their computer. It should also be password protected.
Yes. And passwords are optional. You set shares and limit access by user name.

I currently have a PC laptop that is on the fritz and needs to be backed up. I am looking to eventually invest in a MacBook. Will I be able to access the stored data from both platforms?
Yes, drive can be accessed with multiple platforms, drive needs to be setup with correct file types.
