This low cost laptop performs as expected. Gave 4 stars due to using Hard drive instead of Solid State Drive.
Otherwise, dual core processor works well. Use for travelling, web surfing, word, excel, etc... Wireless network connection is fast 5 Ghz. Stepping up from tablet style laptops using 2 GB ram and small 32 or 64 GB electronic drive is the reason for spending the extra $100 or so (bought when on sale).
I have replaced the HHD with SSD - fully increased the performance. You need to be have experience with working with computers and replacing hard drives to perform. Have to fully take case apart to get to the hard drive (need to remove keyboard, DVD drive, and rear cover). Unless planning on reinstalling software, need to have ability to clone the hard drive.

Bought a different model for delivery . Best Buy substituted this one since other was out of stock. Have seen multiple Samsung TVs, all have a good picture. Been using their monitors for years. TV has same quality. Professional reviews all over the board, but appears to be a great picture for my use. Using cable and picture quality exceeds current available input. TV has multiple inputs and great Smart TV features.

Cant beat low cost touch screen laptop

Bought when on sale at BB. Been watching for a under $400, 13"+ touch screen laptop. A larger SSD was preferred, but finding a low cost solution was impossible. This Laptop replaces an ASUS TF101 (10" version of similar which cost more, year ago, which bricked during BIOS updated.) While the 32 GB is too small with the HP recovery partition, the Laptop power and speed exceeds the ASUS it replaces. The cost per performance of the HP Stream cannot be beat. The laptop responds much better using Windows 10 then windows 8.1. However, you need to be somewhat tech savvy to get Windows 10 installed due to the small SSD. Using HP recovery, I backed up the recovery to USB flash drive. Windows 10 has feature to utilized Microdisk or USB disk to help install. Using second disk and installing Windows 10 (after 2 failed attempts, Windows 10 installed and activated). This installation kept the software as an upgrade, but deleted the HP recovery drive (definitely backup the recovery). The deletion of the recovery drive actually improves the system as now have over half the drive available. The computer is best used for internet surfing, Email, Word/Excel along with Quicken 2015 only. Also use to remote into the office PC. This PC is used to allow portable computing for EMail, surfing, etc... Read the official reviews by PC reviewers, along with other reviews to make sure the PC will meet your needs. It is not an office or gaming computer. It is a windows system Chromebook. Using cloud drives along with adding a 64GB Micro disk, computer does what I need.

Have owned WD NAS since the first generation, World Books. This my cloud drive is the fastest with better interface. Interface is much faster an easier to navigate then previous versions.
Includes user level access with/without passwords.
Remote Access is much improved and faster.

What's great about it: Wireless, easy to connect, internet connected, works with all devices
What's not so great: cost, ink costs
Bought to replace older, USB, printer-which failed to stay network connected. This all-in-one, doesn't include integrated faxing, but does include internet faxing (who uses hard wired faxing?). Printer connects via wireless, works with Apple devices, Android devices, Window devices, and of course PCs (W7,W8.1). Includes internet printing thru HP online services and Apps. While it works, don't see allot of need. Printer use separate ink cartridges which is plus. HP has a ink replacement service which I may use if printing needs increase.

Yes, assign them different server names. I use my cloud as main NAS and back up to a previous generation WD NAS.

what are the plus and minus of My Cloud vs My Passport
My cloud is only accessible thru network setup, wired thru routers. Much more than a USB hard drive.

Can it be configured for 3 or more people, so that each has their our allocation of space? Each person should be able to access it from a mapped drive letter on their computer. It should also be password protected.
Yes. And passwords are optional. You set shares and limit access by user name.

PC to MAC conversion
I currently have a PC laptop that is on the fritz and needs to be backed up. I am looking to eventually invest in a MacBook. Will I be able to access the stored data from both platforms?
Yes, drive can be accessed with multiple platforms, drive needs to be setup with correct file types.
