This NETGEAR Gigabit unmanaged switch helps businesses cost effectively expand their network to Gigabit speeds and high port counts. The GS105 switch comes with 5 Gigabit copper ports in a desktop metal case and is wall-mountable. This switch is energy-efficient, built to last, and rigorously tested to provide the reliability businesses need. 802.1p traffic prioritization and jumbo frame support allow for seamless integration with sophisticated networks.

What's great about it: Plug your cables in and your off like a rocket
What's not so great: Wish the port where on the back along with the power
I use these switches all the time. Very easy to install, reliable and durable. When using them in a closed or IDF closet they're great but in a SMB where sometime you don't have that luxury and the switch ends up on a nearby desk, the ports on the back would be nice. I know I could get other switched with the ports on the back but they're made with cheap plastic and look all stylish in case they end up in a living room. I like the metal casing this unit has.

What's great about it: They work
What's not so great: Nothing
What can you say about cables. They worked out of the box. Good enough for me.

what product will extend WI Fi across a block or two outside- want to connect to our resort lodge Wi Fi - small community in Michigan Trees t

Nothing at best buy will help you with that. Most consumer type wifi routers can't go that far.

will a virus down load with documents and pictured

Have a virus and need to down load documents and pictures before I restore to factory
Yes it is possible to imbed a virus in pictures and documents. If you have a decent virus scanner like Norton Anti-virus, it should be able to find out if any of you files are infected. But to be sure, I would scan them with at least one other Anti-virus program like Malwarbytes Anti-Malware program and one other time with SuperAntispyware. Both are free for home use.
