Has pretty good range. I have full strength everywhere in my house and garage but my house is small. Never seems to lag regardless of # of attached devices.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Does the ASUS Router AC2400 RT-AC87U peform reliably with 2.4 and 5G devices?

Some reviews indicate that it crashes and needs to be rebooted on 2.4 and 5. Does the ASUS Router AC2400 RT-AC87U perform reliably with 2.4 and 5G frequencies? Specifically, will it work with Apple TV and if so, which frequency would work best?
I have had no issues with crashing on either frequency and have over 10 devices always connected. It will work with apple TV. If you game I recommend saving the 5G for the gaming components otherwise put your highest bandwidth devices (aka apple tv) on the 5G. 2.4g is slower but has a higher range. Recommend putting your mobile devices on it.

Does this Asus mu-mimo router solve the problem of many users at the same time?

I am having the problem of Internet dropping with netflix on an x-box 360, an iPad, and an android tablet running at the same time. Will this Asus router fix that problem?
It can easily handle the listed devices simultaneously. I run 2 ps4's, while streaming Netflix on the tv, and at least 6 phones/tablets connected with no problem. I would check your modem speeds with your Internet company prior to purchase though. Your problem sounds more modem related.
