What's great about it: Clear images - good value
What's not so great: Some tendency for glare
Purchased my Dell - 24" LED HD Monitor during a Best Buy promotional sale. With the amount saved as part of the sale, this monitor was an outstanding value in comparison to other monitors in the same general size and class. Now into the 2nd month of use, it has not disappointed in quality.
The image quality is excellent. The monitor has an above average sturdy base, and pivots up and down to allow for flexibility in view angles. No rotation feature, but I handled that problem setting the unit on a swivel base.
Sleek design if that is of interest to anyone.
Only issue I have experienced is a slight glare during peek sun hours during the day, caused by reflection coming in through the windows. This problem was mentioned by others, and may be a factor for someone who plans on utilizing the monitor in a room full of open window panes.
Simple to install, and works extremely well. Thoroughly satisfied. If you can get the sale price on this monitor, it is an excellent value for the price.

Can I hook this monitor up to my dell inspiron 1501 laptop?

This monitor does show features to connect with a laptop computing system. Yes.

Will this monitor work on a dell inspiron 545 with a ati radeon hd3450

To my understanding this monitor has a great deal of flexibility in relation to the number of systems it can be connected to. I run a Dell system myself, and cannot see why this monitor would not attach as easily to an Inspiron 545 as it does to my OptiPlex 745.
