I absolutely love this laptop desk. I have been looking for a good quality laptop fan for a long time until I came across this. I am on my desktop a lot because I don't like to use my laptop on my bed but this has changed the game. I can sit on my bed comfortably with my laptop on this and use it for hours with comfort. If the laptop starts to warm up or get hot, just plug in the USB and the fan instantly starts working. I've been using this thing almost every night since it came in the mail. It has enough space for the laptop and a mouse and arm resting space. I highly reccomened this you use your laptop a lot in bed or want a desk to give it a little lift. Works great. Comes with one year warranty also.

This one is different from the Segate one that I own because it actually has a pop up that says its backing up the information while its plugged in. So far its been great and no issues. It honestly never hurts to back up your information twice.

As to the other question, yes, it really is free once you buy it because unlike the cable company who over charges, you just pay once and that's it.

I cant get sound out of the left ear bud with my ipod or iphone 7 is there a setting or are these just defective?
From what I can conclude, it seems like it might be defective. Bring it back into Best Buy and see what they say. If it's in the return period it can be swapped out, I bought a warranty for mine cause I rather spend the few extra bucks knowing it's fully covered for the 2 years with normal wear and tear.
