Are there two power cords to play movies on both or is there a way to connect them to the power source through one line?

The units come with their own AC adapters, but for the car it is a single "lighter" plug with two individual lines to power each unit.

I know the children can watch the same movie on both screens but can they each watch a different movie? In other words, is there only one major screen or two?

Can use headphones or internal speakers. When headphones are used, internal speaker is muted.

How is he disc inserted , does the screen flip open or does the disc gave a slot to slide into ?

Yes, they have traps with locking clip so that you can attach to the headrests.
