What can I say, it's an Micro SD card. Installed in my Galaxy S5 phone to replace another brand that died. Works great.

I'm not a computer tech but this installed very easily. I'm sure it does way more than I need but it seems to run all my wifi and wired products without issue. Internet testing speed as well as seat of the pants testing all seem to show a vast improvement over my older Belkin G router.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I can't say for sure however the 3 asus routers I just bought all came with a short cat5 cable and power cord so I assume this would also.

can this support wifi calling, and/or be used as an wifi extender

I'm not sure if it will directly support wifi calling however it does have the option for wireless wifi extender. I do believe I recall reading that as a wireless extender the transfer rate is cut in half (I assume because it is re-broadcasting). I ended up running cat5 from this to two RT-n66u routers and using them as wired wifi extenders. Works great.

Not sure if this helps. I currently use this as my main router with two ASUS RT-n66u wired in as remote access points covering a large sprawling hours. It's not uncommon for the PS3 to be online gaming, 3 brand new laptops going, one smart tv and 6-8 smart phones streaming (S5's, i5s, Ipad mini 2s)

Can this device be used as a wireless access point plugged into a LAN on an existing wired network?

Will the router interfere with the wired router that manages the wired network?
I can not answer your question directly however I believe it can. I currently use it as my wired router to my cable modem and have two Asus RT-n66u routes set up as plugged in to the LAN just a you described. Works great. I do know in the setting you have several options including wireles access point, media server (requires matching router), regular router and one other option that escapes me at the moment. I have this setup because I have a 200yr old sprawling house and range is an issue due to "who knows what" in the walls etc.
