Difference between a 2.0 and a 3.0 usb port
At the risk of sounding incredibly dumb, I need to know what the difference is between a 2.0 usb port and a 3.0 usb port. I THINK I have a 3.0 port on my computer but I am not sure. I also need a usb flash drive that is NOT compatible with Windows 8. Is the PNY - Turbo Plus 32GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive compatible with Windows 8?
The USB 3.0 standard allows for faster exchanging of data between the computer and falshdrive. If your computer is using the 2.0 standard, then the data will transfer at that slower rate.
