so much better than comcast's dvr. The remote replaces comcast's and my tv remote.

Cable cards

I know it requires two CableCARDs to record 4 shows, but it will still work with only 1, right?
I only have one cable card and I can record multiple programs at the same time.

How well does this work with FIOS? Can I eliminate my FIOS DVR?

I don't know about Fios but I was able to eliminate the Comcast DVR.
