I wanted a tablet that could be flexible and allow me to share files for work or personal use in different ways through the cloud or to another storage device. Great to have micro-usb and SD card slot for even more options for storage. I was worried about not having flash player built-in, but just downloaded Puffin browser which works just fine for my needs.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This folio with keyboard is a must have for the Samsung tablet. Pairing with the tablet is smooth. The keys are responsive, and the keyboard holds its charge a while. The case seems durable, but quite light and easy to fold/carry around. Really feels like I have a mini lap top now.
I would recommend this to a friend!

USB port

When I was in the store I asked about a USB port on either the Galaxy Note or the Galaxy Tab4 and was told none of the tablets have them, yet the Galaxy Tab 4 product specs says there is one. Is there one? Can I use it to hook up to a printer?
Also, is there a 'book case' app that can be put on any of the android notepads that can be used by both Nook and Kindle so I don't have to have two different book shelves to jump between?
It has a micro-usb port. With an adapter purchased separately, it can hook up to a standard USB. I have not tried to use this for printing since I have e-print capable printer.

Can you take notes in class by writing things down with the stylus, on this tablet?

This tablet does not come with a stylus.

Is this a good note taking device for college classes? Does the needed app come standard on it?

It is easy to use Chrome's Drive on this tablet., so notes saved in Drive can be accessed in any device once I log-into my google account. I also have Hancom and Polaris Office apps which were easy and free to download. Paired with a Logitech folio with built-in keyboard, typing is a breeze.

can I use a USB flash drive to download spread sheets?

I've bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 (16gb) tablet for my son's 49th birthday ...and he specifically said he wanted to be able to download and store various data using his 32GB flash drive. So I'm hoping this unit has a USB port or two.
Tab 4 has micro-usb port, so I bought an adapter to connect to my regular flash drive. It's a Samsung product.

Adobe reader?

I need a tablet to be able to read several large pdf documents to study for an upcoming exam. I read a review regarding the Galaxy Pro that stated it didn't support Adobe reader. If not, then it basically doesn't to the thing I need it most to do. Maybe not Adobe specifically, but is there a comparable pdf reader for it?
I have the Tab 4 10.1 and am able to read PDF files through Polaris, Hancom or Drive PDF viewer.
